It was raining like crazy this morning and what a great way to remind me that summer is officially over (and like the past years, I have never seen sand until today). Well May is over and even though I failed to set foot on the beach, I'm pretty happy with how the month went.

Lost my phone last Saturday and I was really hoping I could post the store's CCTV footage but I can't find a converter for .264 files (well I did but all were free trial versions and would convert only the first 3 minutes or 20% of the video)!

Anyway, I must have looked pretty bad when it happened 'cause right after scolding me that I was careless (blah blah blah) and stuff, Aj said that I should stop sulking and he'll just buy me a new phone.

So he did!!!

Meet Noah. Thank you Arkim for the name! ("Noah kase Arc." Get it?)

Finally!

After much whining about how I still haven't tasted J.Co's donuts, my sister and her boyfriend went home (during their stay here for a week) with a box of goodness!

They were so nice to look at that eating them seems like a mortal sin.

I love doughnuts as much as I love cupcakes (and other pastries or sweets--I'm not sure what kind of food they're called) but doughnuts have a special place in my heart. I'd eat any kind! Even the ones sold on the streets for 2 pesos a piece (fried in cholesterol-filled-cooking oil and smothered with white sugar?). I'm happy that the J.Co doughnuts stayed soft after staying in the fridge overnight. They're also not that sweet! I didn't get to try all but everyone said they're very good.

The green one's not avocado flavor, it's green tea.

Go Nuts, Dunkin, Mister, Krispy Kreme, Cello's, J.Co's. What's next?

P.S.

Would you try bacon doughnuts?

I'm online 90% of the time (oh wait, make that 75% because I just lost my phone and it'll probably take me week to get a new one and connect to the internet from there): stalking friends and famous people on social networking sites, reading updates, news blogs, etc., learning about HTML and photo editing, playing Cityville, uploading and editing photos, writing for this blog, etc.

What do I do when I'm not online? Watch DVDs! I can't recall which series and movies we've seen already but I think we've ran out of titles to watch. For May, I don't think we've watched a lot; Bad Ass, Gone, Journey 2, 21st Jump Street, This Means War, Red Tails. As for the series, no new episodes for HIMYM, Hawaii 5.0, CSI, The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, Modern Family, Grey's, etc.

Good thing we've ran out of American series', Aj discovered Being Human. It's about a vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost living together. The story isn't a winner but their accent is just lovely! I'm learning a lot of expressions too!

Mitchell the vampire, my favorite. He's not in love with any humans, he doesn't glitter, and he's blood thirsty. But George (the werewolf) and Annie (the ghost) are pretty interesting characters, too. Photo from: BBC Three: Being Human

My student also recommended that I see BBC's Sherlock Holmes. At first I thought that it might just be another one of those good-for-nothing shows but I stumbled upon a few blogs saying that it's really good. It will definitely watch this one, too.

Any recommendations?

"Pork breast?", I asked myself. So I looked closer and voila!

I didn't bother taking photos of the dish as it will cause more depression.

to cook (meat, fish, or vegetables) by sautéeing in fat and then simmeringslowly in very little liquid.

Around 9:30 PM at Alabang (near Analyn's).

Ate Diane called me up while I was still inside the Jeep and told me that we'll be going somewhere tomorrow morning and since I have nothing to wear, I decided to stop by a small store and buy a top or a dress before meeting Aj.

Bad decision.

Narrating everything will be so boring and a waste of time. I'll just post the video later.

Anyway, I feel better now. I guess it is partly my fault that I wasn't too careful, will drop by Globe tomorrow for a new SIM card.

As for you Ate. Better make sure we don't see each other again. I swear to make you regret stealing my phone. You and your friends will be famous soon, I'll post the CCTV footage and furnish the police a copy. It's your time to shine girls. I really hope this is worth all the trouble you're gonna get.

Goodbye Blackberry. I guess we're truly not meant to be. I will miss you so much.

I was reading about saving money and the pareto principle when I stumbled upon an article (I didn't bookmark!) saying that we wear only 20% of our clothes 80% of the time. So true!
