Happy birthday to me!!!

One of the best birthdays I’ve had. I’m not one to make such a fuss about my birthday but friends and family made me really feel like it mattered.

I suck at saying thanks, so … Thank you!

I got these really early. Like what I said before, my sisters know me too well. I never thought I’d appreciate a purple bag before. Also, I love pink but I have never owned hot pink shoes ever.

I am not a morning person so I wasn’t exactly thrilled when my mom was screaming like crazy at around 7AM that I get my ass up because it’s my freaking birthday and the dad prepared breakfast for me. Not to mention that she was armed with a camera at 7 AM and she won’t stop taking my pictures when I’m at my loveliest state. Oh and yeah, she wrote a birthday greeting on Facebook exposing all of my deepest darkest (chos!) secrets, too.

Gifts from Myda and Micah! I love that Micah bothered wrapping it and leaving a note that I should probably wait until my birthday when she knows I wouldn’t be able to stop myself.

You have any idea what this could be? Cutest and girliest thing I own now.

Surprise! Well the whole thing was caught on video. But we have the worst videographer. Ever. Yes Ta Din, accept it.

I had to pull off some stunts before I was able to get these! So sweet.

Yay! Events team! I was usually the one preparing surprises and stuff but you did a great job hiding this whole shebang from me. I was completely clueless. (L-R: Micah, Trish, Ta Din, Myda, Yuwan)

And the cake! Good thing they remembered to leave some for me.

Pre-birthday lunch. So full!

Again, thank you so much for making this year’s celebration very special.

Here’s a little something the girls did. Can’t say I hate but hey, it’s the thought that counts.

Happy birthday to me!

After ______ years, nagkaroon na din ng out of town chever! Spell biglaan?

Boss: Sinong gusto sumama bukas? May lechon, pagkain, alak, at sasakyan.

Me: Wow. Lechooooon!

*Turns out wala palang lechon. Boo.

Anyway, tinubuan muna kame ng ugat bago nakaalis ng opis. Ambusy ni sir kasi. Nood muna Korean something about dads and their kids, sangkaterbang selfie, kwentuhan, naupuang bubble gum, at kung anu-ano pa bago finally pumunta sa resort.

And! Eto na after maligamgam na tubig sa pool, food, booze, at videoke.

Hello sa braso mo Andoys!

Jamie and her photo bombers. Pagkatapos umubos ng sangkaterbang hotdog, eto naghahanap pa.

This “park” was right beside the resort. Nakakatuwa siguro lalo to pag natapos na. Ganda eh.

Eksena din ang paguwi. Dapat uwian na agad eh. Kaso tagal ng sasakyan. So kanya-kanyang pwesto habang naghihintay.

Liit pala ng paa mo no?

Derecho office kame after. Lahat pagod eh.

Sana may next time pa! Magbaon pa ng mas madaming hotdog! At i-video ang mga ganap for a better laugh the next day. Hahahahaha!

Happy Labor Day everyone!

Medyo nakakahiya i-post to talaga dahil napaka bongga ng pinuntahan namin.

Daming wish! Imbyerna yung mga nag yes tapos last minute no. Sarap ipagbibigti eh.

Happy birthday Yu An! Eksena lagi ang birthday mo ha! Ayusin to next year. Sana afford na natin ang tunay na out of town at sa bonggang resort. Pa-cater din tayo. Chos!

Yes, may dala kaming comforter. Sale kasi sa SM pagdaan namin. 300 petot para sa comforter?! May bed sheet pa? Avail agad!

Cleavage ang labanan.

Ang mga bata nilalamig!

Yes mga lasing na.

Meron ng natitibo.

Sabi flirty eh. Yan ang flirty face ni Ta Din. Hahahahahaha!

Ang flirty pala ni Jamie ay … Di ko alam i-describe ang pose mo.

Very very wholesome at bait-baitan na celebration ng mga may birthday for March! Spaghetti-bbq combo (plus shanghai at pichi-pichi) talaga ang handaan.

Photo from Angelo.

Yuwann, Birthday Girl, Birthday Boy

ANGAS! (Hello Sir Rolan!)

“May bulaklak ka nga, malalanta naman yan!”
“Hindi naman nakakain yan!”
“Nakakataba kaya ang chocolates.”
“Dapat hindi lang tuwing Valentine’s nagde-date.”
“Yuck. Naka-red pa pareho!”
“Baduy mag-celebrate ng Valentine’s ha.”

I was never excited for this holiday. While it’s true that I hate couples who are PDA-ing, especially the ugly ones, I don’t hate the idea of giving your significant other flowers or gifts on this day. Or maybe treating them extra special just because everyone else is doing it.

The hate grew because well, I dated guys who are not romantic or sweet and I didn’t want to impose on them either so right before Valentine's, I'd tell them that I don't want any fuss. I'd convincingly tell them that I'm one of those girls who hate this holiday. Expectations are clearly set.

However, my sister and brother-in-law have had a completely idea. Ever since they've been dating, two occasions MUST BE observed well: my sister's birthday and Valentine's day.

All day, last Friday, my sister kept asking if I'll be home or if I'll be going out. Strange questions. When she didn't hear from me, she asked if something arrived in the house and I said there was none. Of course that ticked me off. The whole day I was nagging her on what it was and she wouldn't tell!

"Maya de Castro daw!", howled one of my co-workers one Tuesday afternoon. Weird. I'm usually the one ordering stuff for us in the office but we didn't order anything that day! We didn't have any idea of what it was. We thought it was the same thing that happened a year ago when food was delivered under my name (complete with all my contact details!) but I was mighty sure I didn't order anything. We went out, and lo and behold, flowers!

The girls and I giggled the whole time the delivery guy was unpacking and when we got inside the office. Everybody was teasing me. "Uy kanino galing?!", asked most of them. When I said it was from my sister and my brother-in-law, the awwwwws grew louder. One of them even said, "May sister din naman ako ah, pero di sya sweet."

Thank you so much Chong and Kimy. :) I was so proud carrying that box home and hitting lots of people with it while commuting home. Mother loved them, too! A million thanks for the really sweet surprise. Happy Valentine's Day!
