If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it.

It's almost Christmas! Yay! And I've only got a month to:
- Make a Christmas list
- Set-up a Christmas tree
- A list of inaanaks and their gifts
- Menu for Christmas eve dinner
- Gift ideas for my two boys, Julian and Aj
The last one's the hardest. It's just not easy to come up with presents for them. Julian would definitely love any toy or shirt that's Spiderman or Batman or any of the hero friends. He told me he'd like a Spiderman shirt, one with a print on the front and back. Then any toy would do. So I'll just have to choose from a selection of Spiderman merchandise at Toy Kingdom. No biggie.
But a gift for an older guy is never a piece of cake, especially when he already gave me my Christmas gift which is the coolest one ever! A blackberry phone! So how am I gonna top that? For one, my funds are limited. And I'm not very sure of what he'd like. So here are my choices:
Game console

He mentioned several times that he'd buy an xbox and that's good because the ps3's more expensive, not only the unit but the game discs too. So xbox for the game console.
Shoes

He loves shoes more than I do so I thought this is also a great gift idea. My only problem is getting the right design and size.
And the last gift idea is a full body massage, facial, everything that's relaxing. I've yet to find a really nice spa that won't scare him away. Wish me luck!
Before, I was so hooked up with cleansing and detoxifying, but after I gave birth I totally forgot to mind my own routines and regimen. So now that Julian's not occupying most of my time, I realized I should be back on the wellness track.
First, detox! It's been more than three years since I remember being healthy so this has got to be the first on the list. I read about a friend's post in fb that she did this lemon juice detox for 14 days and it really worked for her. So I researched about it and here's what I got:

Master cleanse
After waking up:
8 ounce of cold water + 1 tablespoon of sea salt.
I'm still not sure if you're supposed to add the salt with the water. I think you have to take them in separately. Just kidding.
Throughout the day: 6-12 glasses
Mix these with every 8 ounce of very very cold water
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup
a pinch of cayenne pepper
Make sure to drink lots of water too
Before bed time:
One serving of Smooth Move Tea
I have to search for this kind of tea because I'm not very familiar with it though I drink a lot of it. I hope it's not green tea though. You can get the articles here and here.
For beginners, you can start with three days of detox so your body can adjust to your new diet. Maybe after that period and you feel you can take it to another level, then go and finish the 14 day period. You have to check with your physician though if you want to do it longer because this detox will definitely have it's side effects (think of no food and I'm sure you get what I mean).
Can I eat while on detox? I think not because that's the point of this procedure. Your body becomes full of pollutants and toxins because of the stuff you take in.
They say you'll feel lighter, healthier, a bit slimmer, and most importantly stronger --physically, mentally, and spiritually. You can do this probably once every year or maybe even twice but again, see a physician first to be sure because you might overdo it. If you're thinking of losing weight, exercise and eating healthy is still the way to go, so don't substitute detox for weight loss.
So next week, I'll be on the search for a really good maple syrup. I'll post my progress. Oh and make sure to take measurements before you start. Good luck to us!

Too bad Halloween's not so great here in the Philippines. No candies, no costumes, no trick or treat. I'm a sucker for scary movies I can't watch by myself and Julian's dad is the ultimate prankster and so is Julian. Goggles and fangs are both under 100 pesos.
You just gotta love babies who smells nice. Well this one stinks like hell but you wouldn't really mind with that cute smile. Hi Fishball!
Can't fit everyone in that hug. In this photo is Chuchi (brown squirrel like animal), Doraemon (blue cat), Fishball (dolphin), and Baboy (pinkish something between doraemon and fishball).
Batman and Superman.
I hope a dream catcher's like it's name. Like really catch your dream and then when you wake up, you can, ugh, download it and then view or watch it. That would be really nice don't you think? I like my dreams. I find them very amusing, even the bad ones. Especially when they're so vivid so you feel like punching yourself for not remembering the moment you wake up. It happens to me all the time.
Last time, I dreamed about being in the cinema. Or about to go to the cinema and my friend and I (I can't remember who this friend I was with) were buying some snacks. I was asking the crew if he can give me something that will go well with the chocolate I was holding and he said that they ran out of soda and juice. I think I got pissed because I could see that the there were lots of dispensers at the counter and I could tell that they're full of drinks. End.
Next was a scene in our living room. A classmate of mine back in grade school days was dozing off in the armchair. He was a tall guy so his head was swaying sideways. So I slid myself to his side and helped him to be more comfortable. Then finally, I suggested that he sleep on my bed instead. While at my bed, it felt like we were a thing and that we're in some kind of relationship because all of a sudden he was on top me (just on top, nothing more) then I woke up. Really weird, because I don't remember having any crush on that guy.
